Friday: Fierce Find

Friday posts will consist of me showing you all about something I'm so excited about! It could be a beauty product, a new brand, an interesting website, a beautiful celebrity, a new collection. Just anything new and interesting that I feel I must share with you all!

Fierce Find: Kardashian Kollection for Lipsy

Kardashian fans get yourselves straight to lipsy.co.uk or you'll be missing out! Remember their Kollection with Dorothy Perkins and the sheer excitement of running into the store, and your eyes darting from one gorgeous garment to the next? Are you ready for that again! Released yesterday this Kollection is absolutely stunning.

It features 58 products ranging from leather look dresses to cropped feather jackets. To sum this collection up in one word - glamorous. There's an array of bright dresses for every occasion, pencil skirts fit for sauntering into the office and cute chained camis for the evening. You are not out of options with this Kollection!

The most exciting part of this Kollection is something that has never been added before - a jewelry line! It features earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings - each with a shimmer, a sparkle and a statement! The jewelry ranges from £12-£35 so as a pay-day treat or a Christmas present enjoy this Kollection. Here is my favourite jewelry piece from the Kollection

'Kardashian Statement Necklace' £35

Here are my top 3 picks from the whole range...

Kardashian Caviar Bead Bodycon Dress £55
I adore this dress for so many reasons. The first is the intricate bead detailing, isn't it just stunning? The geometric patterns are gorgeous and the shimmery effect is beautiful. I adore the shape of this dress, the bodycon shape is so flattering and it shows of Kardashian style curves which is gorgeous, I also really love the sweetheart neckline as it so feminine and pretty. My favourite touch to this dress is the sheer detailing around the neckline and the sleeves, it's got such a flirty but sweet feel to it that I love. Team this with a simple clutch and nude heels for a elegant night out look.

Kardashian Chain Cami £30
I adore this delicate little cami, isn't it just the sweetest thing? The rounded neckline is so simple and illuminates the chain detailing beautifully. The black colour is so flattering to any body shape and the loose-fitted shape makes it so versatile and easy to wear. You could wear this piece with almost anything - dark jeans for a casual look, slipped into a pencil skirt for a more formal look or thrown over a pair of leather trousers for a gorgeous night out outfit.

Kardashian Cropped Tux Jacket £75
The monochrome look is how I would define my style and this jacket would be perfect for that. The crisp white colour is gorgeous and could work with a huge number of garments. The cut is very beautiful, it's cropped which adds a more modern feel to it and the slick cut makes it very chic. Throw this over a white shift dress to perfect the all white look this season of team with a black blouse and black pencil skirt for a gorgeously formal outfit.

The Kardashian Kollection for Lipsy was designed with British girls in mind. The sisters think that British girls have an interesting way of dressing and are inspired by that, check out their interview with Lipsy here. Overall this is an absolutely gorgeous collection and I can't wait to get my hands on some items and review them!

Must have autumn items!

Who's ready for a new season? I most definitely am ready, Autumn has to be my favourite of the four season. The striking colour palette, the transition from summer, the layering, the new flurry of trends. It's an exciting time of year for any fashionista! This post is all about my top picks this autumn, I'll later include a trend report but this post is all about what I'll be wearing this Autumn so I hope I can inspire some of you to create some gorgeous looks this season!

1. Leather Skirt

This little beauty will very likely feature in my wardrobe at least once a week. I am obsessed with leather skirts for many reasons. Firstly I love the colour black, it's dark & mysterious yet sleek and simple. I love that leather can be so harsh and grungy yet a skirt can be so girly and feminine so a leather skirt keeps a balance of the two which is what my wardrobe is all about. I also really love that this is such a versatile piece, when buying pieces for seasons it's important to pick versatile pieces as this is most cost effective.
(Skirt above - H&M £20)

2.Slouchy jumper

When the cold weather arrives all I want to do is snuggle in my warm bed all day and read books and blog! A good way to take that comfort and warmth with you all day is to invest in a cozy, knitted jumper, not only will you be kept toastier than a marshmallow, you'll look gorgeous too! These can be styled in so many ways it's a wonder item!
(Jumper above - H&M £15)

3. Fur Coat

Something in me is obsessed with fur. I don't know what it is about fur but I love it, it could be the soft, fuzzy texture, it could be the glamour, it could be that it reminds me of my stuffed animal Leo the Leopard. Each Autumn/Winter season I'm on a mission to find a gorgeous Leopard print fur coat, that won't cost me my whole season budget! I came close last year with a £50 one in new look but as I didn't love it I decided against it, however I came even closer this year with a gorgeous £20 one on eBay which I won but however the coat never arrived so I settle with a refund and a new pair of shoes. I will buy myself a gorgeous leopard print coat and I will feel glamorous wearing it out this year! So fashionistas join me on the hunt for a faux fur leopard print coat!
(Fur coat - glam-net.com £245)

4. Peplum top

This little garment simply won't exit the runway, we've seen it season after season but I still adore it! The shape the peplum creates is simply gorgeous and I feel so feminine whilst wearing it but at the same time I feel very sleek and simplistic especially in my black peplum top from Primark, at £8 it was practically a steal! This season, I'll be branching out and finding a peplum that matches the colour palette but more importantly will be wearable with almost anything.
(Peplum top - houseoffraser.co.uk £8)

5. Ankle booties

This season I recommend you get yourself a pair like these beauties! Heeled booties with numerous buckles and cutouts are the epitome of footwear this season. Wear them with bright tights and skirt or a pair of skinny, cropped jeans and you'll be strutting your stylish self in style. What I love about these shoes is that they give you added height (which for me is a must) but they are a more casual way of doing so. You don't need to wear a pair of killer heels to add inches to your legs, instead try a pair of these gorgeous little booties.
(H&M - £49.50)

6. White Blazer

Whites are a wonderful edition to an Autumn/Winter wardrobe and a blazer is perfect for the colder months. Not only will it brighten your outfit it will also highlight you tan from the summer. Personally I love to team my white blazer with a white bandeau, white sheer vest, black leather look trousers and minimalist gold jewellery. I found my White Blazer on a sale rail in H&M for £5 that was definitely one of my best bargains of all time! As it is a blazer it is a little more formal however wear it with light jeans and a simple logo tee and you'll still have a causal vibe to your ensemble.
(White Tailored Blazer - mango.com £60)

7. Patterned Tights

I like to dress with a bit of individuality and I find that patterned tights are a great way to show this individuality. Not only do they keep your legs warm in the chilly months but they add a little more youth to an outfit and give a modern twist to more classic ensembles. The one rule it is important to stick to with tights is to not allow the tights to be too 'trashy' for example I don't think it's acceptable to wear a micro skirt, stocking style tights and a tiny shirt. Remember one golden rule of fashion: unveil one area. For example wear a knitted jumper, skirt and stocking tights. That way you're showing off your legs but in classy, respectable way.

8. Large Silver Necklace

A key piece for me every season is neckware. An obvious example in the Autumn season is a scarf however for those of you with a more glamorous approach to fashion this is for you. I think a statement necklace can make or break an outfit and this piece is sure to make almost any outfit! I would wear this necklace with a plain black blouse and a maroon pencil skirt with a pair of flats as slightly more formal day time outfit. Large silver necklaces make it into my Autumn top ten because of Kim Kardashian, her love for oversized silver chokers has inspired me to try them too and for £3.95 why not give it a go too?
(Silver necklace - uk.accessorize.com £3.95)

9. Black Handbag

This season the trend 'all black' is an absolute must. Be it in day time or night time it's a very minimalistic, fashion forward trend and is one that I am very excited to try. Icons to be inspired by are Kim Kardashian and Kanye West - the king and queen of the trend! As most people's basic wardrobe contains black - jeans, skirts, shirts, tops etc. why not go a step further and grab a handbag to finish your ensemble off nicely? What I love about this bag is the size for a start. Every woman needs a huge handbag, where else do we store all of our essentials? This could easily double as school/college/work bag due to the size. I particularly love the minimalist detail of the gold studs on the handle, this would make you all black outfit pop.

10. Highland prints

Each Autumn/Winter season you can bet on highland prints strutting their way onto the catwalk. Each year we dig out the same shirt/pleated skirt and team with all black for a highland print centered outfit. This year why not mix it up a little? This gorgeous little miniskirt is a great way to put a modern twist on the classic trend, the abundance of zips on this skirt just scream punk so take it further and team with a skull print knitted jumper and tough biker boots for a 'don't mess with me' outfit. It's bound to keep you warm and stylish this season.
(Mini skirt - mango.com $50)

That's all for my Top Ten Autumn items post! I apologize for my lack of posts recently, I have been so busy with college and coursework but I am getting back on track again. Check out my instagram (little___miss___pipedream) and Tumblr (in-chanel-we-trust.tumblr.com) for more fashion isnspiration.

Top 10 Dorothy Perkins Products This Summer

This blog post is a fun way to show you my favourite products from Dorothy Perkins right now. I chose Dorothy Perkins as my first 'Top 10 Products' because not only is their own brand sensational, they also sell the Kardashian Kollection which as I'm sure you're all aware is my favourite collection of clothes, I'm obsessed! So let's get to it!

10. Black/purple crop top £6

This top is both edgy and fierce which are fabulous attributes to any wardrobe! I love the unique silhouette of this piece with the cropped length, long sleeves and cut out it's so funky and fun. There are many ways you could wear this piece. For me it has to be with a high waisted skater skirt, chunky heels and a huge statement necklace.

9. Coral Striped Jaquard Dress £22

How adorable is this little shift dress? I'm in love with this cute summer dress for many reasons. The first is the cut of the dress, personally it suits my body shape and I feel like it will fit almost any body shape, the cinched it waist both accentuates existing curves and adds curves to any body shape! Another reason I love this dress is the colour scheme, The cream and coral stripes just scream summer and would look gorgeous paired with gold jewelry.

8. Tan Wedge Heel Espadrille £65

These shoes are simply fabulous. I'm a huge fan of leopard print (Thanks to a few of my inspirations Kim Kardashian and Snooki) and that's probably one of the main features that pulled me towards these shoes. I saw them on the website and was stunned! They're a perfect mixture of flirty and fun and sophistication and style! I can imagine strolling along the docks on a warm sunny day in these wedges feeling top of the world! Whatever the season I turn towards heels rather than flats due to my height and I feel a lot more confident when in a pair of heels, wedges are an easier option and that's why I adore these shoes.

7. Light Wash Denim Skater Skirt £25

My first thought of a denim skirt is not a pleasant one. I imagine those awful, long, shapeless dark denim skirts that people seemed to live in a few years ago. However my opinion completely changed when I saw this beauty. The colour is just right for the summer it's so light and fun! I love that it has shape to it as when I buy a skirt I take into account how it will look on and it's important for me to cinch in at the waist and flow out accentuating my waist. I think this would be adorable teamed with pastels for a youthful, innocent vibe.

6. Kardashian Kollection Ombre Mini Dress £45

This dress is a perfect example of girly meets edgy. The pastel pink colour is very girly and it's such a cute colour for the bright summer season. Then to make it modern and edgy it includes a twist in the form of ombre! I adore the ombre trend, as it is both creative and chic. Also the shape of the dress is gorgeous and again can suit many, many people.

5. Black High Waisted Bikini Pant & Black Ruched Bikini Bandeau £10 & £14

A bikini during the summer season is practically law and I think this bikini is perfect! This season I intended to base my style on a mixture of vintage (think Lana Del Rey) and modern chic. This bikini is a great example of this. The cut of the bikini exudes vintage - the high waist of the bikini bottoms and the shape of the bikini top. Then the colouring and ruching is more modern and chic, therefore it's a wonderful blend of the two trends.

4. Stone Arabesque Tote £38

My favourite accessory has got to be a statement handbag. No matter what you're wearing you can always improve it with a statement bag. My ideal bag for the summer is something big in order to carry your essentials, something light as it suits the season, something versatile in order to wear with many outfits and something stylish. I feel like this bag fits all of these requirements and it would make a wonderful addition to any fashionista's wardrobe this (or any) season!

3. Tort Bluebell Sunglasses £6

No summer wardrobe is complete without a wonderful pair of shades and I think these are a pretty good contender. I love these for many reasons, the first because they're leopard print - obviously! The second is because of the shape; larger frames are more mysterious, more intriguing and more playful. I love these sunglasses and for £6 you can't really go wrong.

2. Ivory Curve Hem Shift Tunic £42

This dress has so much potential for this season. Firstly white is a perfect colour for the summer, it's light, airy and pretty. The cut of this dress is simple, sleek and very, very chic. The thing I adore the most about this dress is its simplicity as this ensures versatility. As this dress had no defining features or extra colours it makes it the perfect dress to wear in a million ways. It's one of those dresses that you could wear for a week and look completely different everyday! £42 pounds over a week is £6 a day. That's a £6 dress everyday in seven different styles - definitely worth the money if you ask me.

1. Kardashian Kollection Stud Clutch (coral)

My number one product this season is this statement clutch. It's very on trend and very chic. I adore the colour of the clutch bag as it's so bright and fun. You could pair this with a monochrome outfit for a dramatic colour pop or mix it in with other bright colours for a colour blocking vibe. The studs add a more edgy feel to the clutch and modernizes it. Finally it's a Kardashian clutch, I mean who could resist?

Ocean Avenue - The new collection from Warby Parker

Whether you're a daily beach-goer or an occasional seaside visitor, you've experienced a lazy day by the sea. Laying on the warm sand, hearing the waves crash, laughing with close friends. Days at the beach are fun, relaxing and not to mention stylish. It's this that inspired Warby Parker's latest collection 'Ocean Avenue'

I would sum this collection up as retro chic meets modern fierceness! It's the perfect blend of old and new to create a wonderful new collection. Warby Parker have stated 'Our new collection is for boardwalk truants and beach bum days when responsibility has taken a vacation!' They then went on to say 'The Ocean Avenue Collection translates summer crushes into a wearable eye candy for all summer occasions.' I completely agree as I have possibly the biggest summer crush on the 'Jasper' sunglasses in the colour 'Orange Fizz'

Check out the glasses from the new collection..

There's so many beauties to choose from! I've put together a few possible outfit ideas to go with my favourite pair of glasses, so use this as inspiration when purchasing some Warby Parker eyewear!

Have a look at these shots showcasing some of the collection...

Finally what I love most about this collection is the simple generosity behind it, much like when  you buy a pair of Warby Parker glasses from an existing collection they will distribute a pair to someone in need through their non-profit partners.

The collection is available from tomorrow and I strongly recommend checking the collection out at the very least!

For any additional information check out warbyparker.com

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Spring trends 2013

Spring is such a beautiful season; flowers are blooming, cute little animals being born and a whole new season of trends! Spring is possibly my favorite season because of the happy tone the clothes create. The pastel colours, pretty prints and soft cuts just scream adorable! This post is all about key pieces, prints, colours and cuts for the season ahead so fly into spring looking absolutely gorgeous!

First take note of the key garments this season, I'll show you them from the runway, the high street stores and my own closet. I'll be sharing how to recreate these designer ensembles from a not so designer budget!

Garment 1: Oversized white shirt

These oversized white shirts breathed a breath of fresh air onto the spring runways at Jil Sander, Victoria Beckham and Preen. Effortlessly styled with various other white garments the white shirt is an easy piece to master. Take a look at these highstreet versions...

My favorite one of these is the Zara blouse as I feel this really embodies the trend, it's the perfect example of an oversized white shirt! The rolled up sleeves are very chic and the sheerness is fun and fashionable.

My own white shirt for this season was bought at H&M for £7.99 here's how I will be styling it...

I styled my oversized white shirt in three different ways. The first was with a pair of  distressed high-waisted denim shorts which I showed both tucked in and layered over. I then paired it with a pair of leather shorts, this has more of an edgy vibe and can be more simplistic. Finally I paired it with a pair of denim look jeggings that were rolled up at the bottom, this is more casual. I wore all three looks with brown, studded wedges and two of the looks I wore a flower headband.

Oversized white shirt - H&M £7.99
Denim Shorts - H&M -originally they were knee length, then I cut and distressed them myself
Leather shorts - Beatnik emporium - This is a little retro shop in town and these are vintage real leather shorts
Jeggings - Topshop - Not sure of the price as I bought these a few years ago
Wedges - The clothes show - The brand is Yumi if that helps!
Floral headband - Asda - I bought this last year it was around £2
Black vest top - Primark - £2 I think

(The blue ribbon is not part of the ensembles, I wear it every day, in fact I do not take it off - ever!)

Garment 2 - Sporty dresses

Sporty dresses were apparent on the runway this season ranging from bright orange to subtle black. These dresses have a very youthful feel to them and can be styled in so many ways - perfect for a bargainista fashioinista! These dresses were showcased at DKNY, Rag and Bone and Victoria Beckham. Why not try to recreate this look through the highstreet?

These gorgeously crafted dresses are such good examples of sporty dresses. The bright orange dress from French Connection is perfect for the fashion fearless, whilst the navy dress could be better suited to a subtle fashionista. All of these dresses can be accessoriesed wondrously  Why not copy the catwalk and keep your hair simple, your make -up subtle and grab a black bag? Effortlessly fabulous!

Garment 3 - Bomber jackets

Bomber jackets exploded onto the runway this season, seen here at Jonathon Saunders, Loewe and Stella McCartney. As always we've been spoilt for choice with a intricately embellished style, a casual feel and a seriously techno version bomber jacket. The great news is that whatever your style there's a bomber jacket for you! Take a look at three of the high streets hottest bomber jackets...

Another sporty edition to this season the bomber jacket is very statement piece. Perfect for layering on those chilly mornings - fabulous and practical! My favorite piece here is the Bomber jacket from Dorothy Perkins, for me this sums up the modern day bomber jacket - wondrously tailored, perfectly symmetrical and just plain gorgeous! Team this statement piece with bright colours for a fresh, fun day time look.

Accessories
No season is complete without an array of accessories to brighten even the rainiest of days! Spring style just screams accessorize me, here's my top three favorite accessory trends for this spring.

Accessory 1 - Statement sunglasses

My favourite Spring accessories trend this year is statement sunglasses. If you're in need of a chic way of adding fierceness to your outfit  look no further than a pair of all-eyes-on-you shades! These ones from Anna Sui, Roberto Cavalli & Prada are extremely gorge! Take a look at these beautiful highstreet goodies...

The highstreet have some excellent statement shades this season and these are three of my favorite  I think the River Island pair are stunning! They're also very similar to the Prada pair, channel a designer look at a highstreet price, every girls dream!

Accessory 2 - Low heels

Give your feet a break with these super chic low heels. Something about the low heel screams spring, could it be the simplicity? The chicness? Whatever it is I need them! Put a bounce in your step with these gorgeous highstreet versions...

These low heeled shoes from Zara would be the visual representation of 'Spring footwear' both metallic and low heeled they're perfect! They're extremely versatile and so chic, they are definitely worth the investment. I also love the colour pop the other pairs of shoes, ad these to a simple coloured outfit and you're ahead of the game in seconds.

Accessory 3 - Ladylike handbags

I'm in love with this trend! This to me is a perfect example of a trend fit or spring, it displays pastel shades, perfect cuts and just pure femininity. Mulberry and J Mendel have done an exquisite job of producing gorgeous handbags and have consequently set the bar high! This season it's all about the arm candy, take a look at the highstreets amazing candy...

For a highstreet price these bags are practically a steal! The tailoring, the colours, the shape you could fool anybody! My favorite for this season is the Topshop mini holdall, the colour is just right for this season and it just embodies Spring. My runner up has to be the Mango tote, although I feel this is more of a versatile piece - as in you could carry it across to every season and still be on trend.

Prints
Prints are a very important part of the trend, the print is the first thing you see from a distance and if it's on trend, you're instantly noticed - for all the right reasons. Here are my three favorite prints/colours for this season...

Print/colour 1 - Monochrome

Monochrome is a very sophisticated look and can be worn by anybody. This is such an easy trend to pull off and often the most cost effective. You can wear garments from other seasons and just play off the monochrome look, although some cuts and garments may not be so suited to the season! I love the simplicity of this look. Have a look at my highstreet finds...

The garments I chose for this trend are both black and white and in this scenario I would pair them with one colour for the rest of the garments e.g. a black blouse and black skinny jeans with the blazer. However key pieces in either black or white are great too, for example white blazers are very hot this season. I adore these striped skinny trousers from Mango and Miranda Kerr rocked them in the advert!

Here are my ensembles based on the monochrome trend...

Outfit 1

This is more edgy, almost grunge look. I have very minimal jewelry for these looks as it's so simple. The colour palette is simple, although this doesn't mean the clothes have to be, I went for more interesting pieces in this ensemble.

Blouse - Primark - £10
Shorts - H&M The New Icons collection - £7.99
Socks - Primark - I bought these a while ago and am not sure of the price
Creepers - Ebay - £10.99
Bow - Internationale - £1.50

Outfit 2

Ensemble two is a more fun, girly look and I focused on one print and kept my other pieces simple. I adore this skirt, I think the shape is gorgeous and the print is so cute. The sleeveless blouse is great for spring as if it gets warm you can wear it on its own or if it gets chilly you can layer a jumper over the top and keep the collar as a feature.

Blouse - Primark £6
Skirt - TKMaxx £12.99
Boots - 'Who's Next?' A store near Portobello Market £10
Bow - New Look £2.49
Vest top - Primark £2

Outfit 3

This is my most chic outfit I styled as it's the most simple and sleek. Although it is spring it cans till be cold so these faux leather pants are still very wearable. I adore this hat, although it is probably more suited to summer I had to throw it in because its so cute! Also it nails two trends in one - monochrome and stripes! Also I had to get the high heels out because at my height I need the boost!

Hat - Primark - £4 (Practically a steal!)
Top - H&M The New Icons Collection - £6.99
Leather Pants - H&M £19.99
Heels - Geroge, Asda £4 (I found them in the sale and it was love at first sight)

Outfit 4

My last ensemble is very basic and probably would need a jacket to finish it off. This leather skirt was my key piece last Autumn/Winter and I teamed it with all sorts of things knee high socks, burgundy tights, knitted tights, blouses, tops, jumpers - the list goes on. I plan to bring this skirt into the spring season too because it's so cute. It fits well and I like the silhouette it creates.

Collared shirt - Primark £6
Leather skirt - Primark - Around £12 I can't really remember
Heels - Primark £6 ( They were supposed to be £12 but they were half price, I bought them for New Year and ended up wearing completely different shoes instead!)
Hairband - Charity shop -£3.50

Print/colour 2 - Bold stripes

Stripes usually make their appearance into the Spring season in the form of a nautical trend, however this season they're big, they're bold and they're statement. They've slid onto the runways at Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors and Moschino. Let's see what the highstreet has in store for us...

It takes a seriously fearless fashionista to strut her stuff in a bold striped suit, for me I'd rather take a striped garment and play that into a super chic outfit. For example the striped top from Mango could be tucked into a pair of Bermuda shorts and paired with a pair of super cute flats and a dark pair of statement sunglasses - casual chic, check!

Prints/Colours 3 - Checkers

This trend is super chic, I adore this print as it just oozes sophistication. This season checkers have a very 60's feel to them and Louis Vuitton's collection looked absolutely amazing! I have to say Chanel did a wonderful job with checkers this season - how gorge is that pink A-line dress?! Balmain kept there checkers cheeky and daring in this low cut dress, nipped in at the waist with a fierce belt. Take inspiration from these collections and rock your own highstreet version with these pieces...

My favorite piece here has got to be this gorgeous little dress from Zara. This is the perfect dress for spring! It's sleeveless style makes it great at keeping you cool, or great for layering on chilly days, the print is perfect and the cut is just right. I also love the Forever21 leggings and they're practically a steal at £7.25! That's a great bargain.

Check out these celebs rocking the latest trends...

Kourtney Kardashian. Elizabeth Olsen and Kim Kardashian are all rocking the oversized white shirt!

Here Naomi Watts, Pippa Middleton & January Jones are all flaunting their gorgeous ladylike handbags.

Miley Cyrus, Taylor Tomasi Hill & Chloe Moretz are strutting their stuff in sexy stripes.

I hope this post helps you pull together on trend but unique spring looks. Remember it's not about the cost of your outfit, the size of your clothes or who else is wearing it, it's about taking what's hot and putting your own spin on the outfit. Be unique and stay fabulous!
